Calm Morning

Snow glistens along this path on the mountain.  I make

my way through, enjoying the beams of light that filter

gently through the branches.  I inhale comforting

wisps of moisture that hang throughout the hills

and thickets.  I pass beside many small lakes and brooks,

noticing the vibrant birds that swoop their way close

to the surfaces.  Shiny lilies of the valley poke through

some patches of snow.  Off in the distance, gleaming

green crystals blanket the base of the sleepy hills.

Welcome To The Festival

Welcome to this whimsical gathering of lively folks

assembled in honor of your arrival.  Fantastic lights

lift up and shine onto your carriage.  Confetti hails onto

the scene and spreads throughout the amusement.

The crowd cheers with bliss and euphoria.  Sparkly flags

wave and send forth beams of wonder.  Sweet flowers

bloom along the pavements and shout their approval.

Youthful cultivators giggle, blow bubbles, and play tag

with each other.  Dancers swirl each other around,

lifting each other to new levels.  Golden petals and

silver leaves turn attentively toward the gliding light.

Clear Pond

The magnificent green cliffs tower near the cascade

In youthful trees a light flickers

Past hail through the thickening undergrowth

The luscious blue inlet bubbles with excitement

Vines reach to greet the hazy fog

In reflecting droplets of a silver passion

Wet patterns sift through the comforting mosses

And soften the glowing twigs

Approaches To Increase Endorphins

When one is happy, experiencing a flood of positive sentiments, engaging in risk-taking with the expectation of rewards, or exercising, her/his endorphins tend to spike up.  “Endorphins” are pleasure-producing particles produced by the body when one is participating in these activities as well as others.  Relieving stress is likely one of the largest factors in the ability to produce more endorphins.  How one can achieve this is subjective and unique to her/his particular lifestyle.  Participating in a job or career that is rewarding in multiple areas can definitely help as well.  When one is in a stressful situation, it can help to engage the immediate senses so that she/he can become more aware of what is occurring.  For less stressful situations, laughing can be a key factor in the ability to create pleasure and cheerfulness.  Even the act of smiling itself can bring intense satisfaction for some people.  Therefore, there is much one can do to increase pleasure-producing particles and decrease sensations of pain.

Intervening When People Do Wrong

There are instances in this society when people do hurtful and destructive things to others.  When that is the case, one may be conflicted as to whether or not to step in and do something about it.  Truthfully, the act of stepping in can take many different forms, not just explicitly going in to immediately right a wrong.  For instance, one can resort to sending a letter to certain authorities requesting that they become involved in setting new standards that would prevent even more people from getting hurt.  In addition, one can spread the word to others about the situation that is occurring and how something should be done about it.  Techniques such as these may be the best option when one is at risk of getting hurt as well.  However, this depends on which method would have the most impact in overturning the situation.  Sometimes it is best to quickly step in and do something about it.  This would be the case when the “wrongdoer” is not much of a threat to the safety of those close by.  Still, even this depends on how close one is to those involved or getting hurt.  That’s why it’s considerably important for one to utilize fast and perceptive judgment in such situations.  If one can tell that a person is being unfairly treated, it would likely be one of the worst options to simply do nothing about it, or worse yet partake in the wrongdoing.  Those options should be avoided whenever possible.

Approaches To Relieving Stress

If you would like to consider any ways of relieving stress throughout your experiences and interactions with others, fret not.  There are so many ways that this can be achieved.  One way is to slow down in the thoroughfare of society’s pressure and work.  This can free you from much of the constant chaos and expectations surrounding you in occurrences such as social interactions and occupational tasks.  For instance, you may like to set aside periods every now and then for taking a pleasant vacation.  Those periods might even prove to be wonderful learning experiences.  Another way to loosen up is to play an instrument.  It truly doesn’t matter which instrument it is, as long as it brings you some tranquility and an escape from carving pressures.  Music can have the effect of transporting you to a serene place.

Another way is to read a good book.  Books can have the power to lift you up to other worlds and faraway places.  Playing games with others is another technique that can help you loosen up.  For example, going on a long run or jog can help to boost your endorphins, or “feel good” particles.  Games that have this effect can be play-related, sports-related, or even intellect-related.  In addition, you can choose to watch some TV if you would like to loosen up.  Certain channels or programs can have a subduing effect or one that can at least free you from some growing pressures.  Another technique is to watch your nutrition.  In summary, there is certainly much you can do if you would like to unwind or get rid of any developing tension.
